But you can also use VST plugins (for some people it can be more convenient). We have searched deep deep inside deep deep down inside into the web, to find the best free VST plugins for audio analysis, here’s the selection: 1) Spectrum Analysis. 1.1) Voxengo SPAN. This spectrum analyzer uses FFT to display the signal frequency in real time. Klanghelm audio plugins (VST, VST3, AU, AAX) We use cookies to ensure that we give you the best experience on our website.

If you use Wavosaur for mastering / premastering, or signal analysis in a more general way, you need tools for audio analysis : spectrum analyzers, phase analyzers, sonogram.
Wavosaur comes with analyzers, you’ll find them in the ‘tools’ menu, along with oscilloscopes & statistics about the sound file (maximum sample peak, RMS power, average value.).

But you can also use VST plugins (for some people it can be more convenient).
We have searched deep deep inside deep deep down inside into the web, to find the best free VST plugins for audio analysis, here’s the selection:

The TB BusTools 3 bundle contains no less than 10 acclaimed, pro-level plug-ins that help you craft professionally-souding mixes. The plug-ins in this bundle were designed without compromise, intended to provide the maximum possible quality, creative effect, control and transparency over your audio assets.
Included v3 plug-ins cover temporal-spectral sculpting tools (a dynamic equalizer, matched-filter de-esser), dynamics processing (bus compressor and true-peak limiter), and ITU and EBU compliant loudness management tools. To top it off, a painstakingly-accurate tape simulator (ReelBus 3) is included!

TB Barricade 3 is a transparent, multi-band brickwall limiter that is suitable for individual tracks as well as pristine mastering work. It supports digital peak meters, RMS meters, and gain/attenuation meters, all with peak hold functionality. The meter scales also support the k-system (k12, k14, and k20) layout and ballastics.

True peak / inter-sample peak (ISP) detection circuits that are in line with EBU R-128, ATSC A/85 and ITU-R BS.1770 allow to generate true-peak compliant audio signals. Last but not least, quantization, dithering and perceptual noise shaping are provided for high-quality bit-depth reduction.

TB BusCompressor 3 is an ultra-transparent, musical, all-round dynamics processor designed to be able to handle everything from single tracks to complex, full mixes. Even with ultra-short attack and release settings, harmonic distortion is extremely low (often better than -150 dB!), and CPU load is typically below 0.5% (depending on hardware).

The Assisted Level Makeup (ALM) feature provides support in levelling compressor output automatically. Cycle hold, hysteresis and adaptive release allow for even more transparent compression behavior. Mid/side and dry/wet mixing controls are present as well. A very unique feature of this compressor is to adjust it's sensitivity to tonal versus noise-like signals to provide even more control.

World’s first perceptual noise shaping plugin that allows the design of your own noise shaping curve – as easy as working with an EQ!

TB Dither 3 is a plug-in designed to reduce the bit depth of audio signals, for example when authoring a CD or for archival purposes, with minimum quality degradation. The uniqueness of this plug-in lies in the flexibility to shape the quantization noise inherently introduced by bit depth reduction. Specifically, TB Dither 3 allows you to design the spectrum of the quantization noise using familiar tools such as low-shelf, high-shelf and peaking filters, just as any equalizer! This provides an unprecedented ability to adjust quantization noise spectra according to the audio content. Additionally, perceptually-optimized noise shaping preset curves are included to get great results efficiently.

TB_EBULoudness 3 displays momentary loudness (LM), short-term loudness (LS), integrated loudness (LI) and loudness range (LRA) compliant with the EBU and ITU specifications such as EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770, ATSC A/85. The loudness range indicator can provide valuable information on the dynamic range of a track, and the potential need for dynamic range compression.

TB EBULoudness comprises 4 additional modes resulting from an intiative of Roland Löhlbach (Studio Compyfox) in confederation with Bob Katz (Digital Domain). Their approach is to re-introduce the K-system scales in the context of the EBU R128 method for loudness management. In short, these scales use -12, -14, -16 and -20 LUFS as 0 LU reference levels, facilitating easy loudness management for music and podcast productions that typically have higher loudness levels than broadcast content.

TB Evoke 3 consists of an integrated DC/rumble filter, an intelligent gate, a transparent compressor, a multi-band excess sibilance processor (de-esser), and an exciter in one convenient plug-in. The main benefits of integrating these processes into one plug-in are a very low CPU load, low latency, and better integration and interdependencies of these effects compared to a cascade of individual plug-ins.

TB Evoke 3 is designed to operate on individual tracks as well as busses, and can handle a wide range of content. It's user interface provides real-time, detailed information to guide tweaking settings visually.

TB FlX 3 dynamic equalizer (“Flex“) combines equalization and dynamics processing in one go. It works just as most conventional equalizers; it has 6 filter sections, each proividing more than 30 (!) filter types, including classic analog peaking and shelving filters and resonating low- and high-pass filters. Besides these conventional filter types, some not-so-common and entirely novel filters are available as well.

Each filter section has a dedicated dynamics processing (compressor) stage. This means that a filter response can become more or less active depending on the input signal level (e.g. a dynamic equalizer). The level detector of each section also has some innovative features such as being able to respond to mid only, side only, or the side-over-mid ratio!

With TB Isone 3, a stereo virtual reproduction system and listening room can be experienced simply using a high-quality headphones. The frequency response and the directivity pattern of the virtual loudspeakers can be adjusted. Furthermore, the reverb time and volume of the virtual listening room and the distance to the virtual loudspeakers can be fully customized.

TB Isone 3 employs real-time HRTF (head-related transfer function) and BRIR (binaural room impulse response) processing in a flexible VST plug-in format. This makes Isone the perfect tool for headphone mixing, binaural room and loudspeaker simulation, and 3D virtual audio processing.

TB ReelBus 3 is an analog tape recording simulator that aims at accurate, authentic simulation of all properties associated with magnetic tape recording, such as its frequency and level dependent saturation, inter-modulation effects, bias dependencies, tape hiss, asperity noise, wow and flutter, and clipping of electronic circuitry. It is especially suitable for bus processing (including the master bus) to subtly sweeten and enhance the sound.

TB ReelBus 3 contains several preset tape recorder simulations, which can be adjusted individually by offsetting their tape hiss, asperity noise, amount of spectrum and saturation processing, and alike.

Pristine vocals deserve top notch sibilance processing using matched-filter technology for ultra-transparent de-essing!

TB Sibalance 3 provides very powerful tools to reduce excess sibilance in a minimally invasive way. In contrast to conventional split-band de-essers, TB Sibalance 3 uses so-called ‘matched filter’ technology to only touch offensive audio components, while leaving all other frequency components untouched. The results of TB Sibalance 3 will therefore sound cleaner and more transparent than that obtained with other de-essers.

The sibilance reduction can be controlled accurately using the unique sibilance input-output curve, determining how much sibilance should be removed.

TB VoicePitcher 3 can change the overall pitch of dialog and vocals, including singing voices. Free gate vst plugin. Because its algorithms are specifically designed for the human voice, the results with TB VoicePitcher 3 will typically sound cleaner and more natural than with other general-purpose pitch shifting algorithms.

Pitch shifting can be performed in real time, with a small latency that is compensated for by the DAW host (if supported). Furthermore, spectral (formant) corrections to improve the timbre of pitched vocals can be applied as well.
