However, the plugin lacks an actual interface, so the VST plugin technology generates one for you. A very boring GUI, but functional as long as there are less than 16 parameters or so - if your screen isn't big enough, you're out of luck. That's what happens here.

Good to emulate the unique NES Sound. The sound is quite raw and cuts through the mix, often too good and becomes to present, since the normal volume is also quite high compared to other VSTi. But nothing that troubles you, if you know what you do.

It has a square wave, two pulse wave (25%, 12,5%), a triangle wave and a noise channel. Simple editing is possible with a ADSR envelope. You also have some other features like a sweep and the bendrange can be edited, too.

Zzzzra’s Zoby 3 DIY Waveform VST

A friend of mine linked me over to a bunch of free synth plugs developed by a european minimal techno producer named “Zzzzra.” Free text to speech vst plugin.

My favorite is the Zoby 3, it’s an insane synth that allows you draw your own waveforms. Add to that a bunch of built in effects and the possibilities are limitless (and often terrible sounding).
